Your characters have come together at the request of a mysterious stranger to go on a quest! Oh, and destiny says you have to do it, so you can't back out now because destiny says so. And if you don't like it, sucks to be you.

Roll under the list of goals below to find out what you're doing; roll under complications to find out what problem you've just run into. Or come up with your own; use your imagination! You can even translate it into another setting, if you like. (You All Meet In A Bar, Nightclub, Space Cantina, Island Resort, etc.)

GOAL
1. Retrieve a valuable treasure from a remote location.
2. Defeat a powerful enemy that's threatening the land.
3. Rescue a kidnapped princess.
4. Transport cargo from Point A to Point B. (Or smuggle cargo, as the case may be.)
5. Clear out an area that's been taken over by monsters.
6. Obtain the numerous McGuffins from across the land.
7. Choose your own adventure!

COMPLICATION
1. It's guarded by a horrible monster.
2. The Mysterious Stranger is actually the bad guy, and you're (knowingly or unknowingly) working for Team Evil.
3. An item involved in the quest turns out to work not as expected.
4. The reward for the quest? Not as promised.
5. There are a lot more bad guys here than you were told there would be...
6. "I thought you checked for traps!"
7. Someone else is after the same thing you are.
8. One of you is secretly working against the other.
9. "Hey, where'd our stuff go?"
10. One of you has been badly wounded.
